General foot care

As a new patient a full medical history will be taken, followed by a neurovascular assessment.

This also includes nail cutting, corn and callus removal. If there are any concerns then we will write to your Gp or refer you to the appropriate medical professional for any further investigation that may be required.

Diabetic foot check

Having diabetes means you are at much greater risk of developing foot problems. It can affect the sensation and circulation in your feet. Most foot problems can be  prevented with regular foot care.

A diabetic foot check involves sensation and circulatory testing, checking the condition of your skin and nails, footwear and foot care advice. We will then write to your GP to inform them of our findings.

Verrucae treatment

Verrutop is a topical treatment suitable for adults and children. Up to 6 applications every 2 weeks required.

Verruca needling is a simple procedure. Local anaesthetic is used to numb the area.

Fungal nail treatment

Topical anti fungal treatments – these are over the counter varnishes or creams that are applied to the nail, daily or weekly. It can take up to 12 months for a nail to grow out fully.

Lacuna Method – this involves tiny holes being drilled painlessly into the nail allowing topical anti fungal treatments to be applied, reaching the nail bed through the holes, treating the fungal infection. Review appointments are recommended on average every 6 weeks, however this may vary.

Oral medication – this can be prescribed by your GP to treat fungal nail infections. A letter from your Podiatrist is sometimes required to request the medication.

Medical pedicure

A foot soak to soothe and relax tired feet, foot exfoliation,  followed by nail cutting, callus and corn removal, moisturiser and revitalising foot spray, leaving your feet refreshed and revitalised.

This also includes an OPI nail polish (colour of your choice).
